ギャルリ百草&モザイクタイルミュージアム Gallery Momogusa & Mosaic Tile Museum≫

先日、岐阜県多治見市まで小旅行を楽しんできました。I took a short day trip to Tajime in Gifu Prefecture the other day.
最初に訪れたのは、モザイクタイルミュージアム。First we visited the Mosaic Tile Museum.
町中に突然現れる、粘土山のような外観は、地場産業のシンボル的存在になっているようです。The sudden appearance of the mountain-like, clay building seems to be symbolic of the local industry.
こちらの独創的な建物の設計は藤森照信氏、2018年に公開された、天竜区の秋野不矩美術館の茶室をデザインされた方です。The very unique building was designed by Mr. Terunobu Fujimori who also created the tearoom at the Akino-no-Fuku Museum in Tenryu Ward.
四階まである展示室には、昔懐かしい風呂場や洗濯場、現代住宅でのタイルを使ったデザインのショールームまで、見所は色々。There are various things to see on the four floors such as old-style bathrooms and washrooms, and a showroom with the latest modern room designs.

ランチは、セルバチコ・キドグチで、繊細で美しい、和風イタリアンを。For lunch, we visited Selvatico Kidoguchi for a beautiful Japanese fine Italian course meal.
フレッシュな魚をふんだんに使ったコース料理、最高でした！The meal included a lot of fresh fish and tasted excellent!

店内はテーブル毎に個室のような作りで、新型コロナ対策も万全！Each table in the restaurant was set in an individual room to protect against COVID-19 and this made us feel more comfortable.
さて、今回の旅の目玉である「ギャルリ百草」にようやく到着。Lastly, we arrived at Gallery Momogusa, which was the aim of our trip.

現在1階の企画展では「暮らしの造形X」、二人のアーティストによるガラスと鉄など様々な素材の作品が、部屋中の畳の上に置かれています。The current exhibition 'Formative Art X in Life' is on the first floor and exhibits artworks made from glass, iron, and other materials and are placed all over the tatami mats.
ゆっくり歩いたり座ったりしながら、ひとつひとつ見てまわりました。I carefully looked at each item while walking and sitting in the room.
奥にはお茶室もありました…どんな茶会が開催されるのでしょう？There is a Japanese tearoom ... how it seems like a tea gathering is being held here?
2階の常設展は、ギャラリーオーナーの安藤雅信氏の陶磁器などの作品、奥様明子氏の布製品等が展示販売されています。ˆn the permanent exhibition rooms on the second floor, the ceramics of owner Mr. Masanobu Ando and the cloth products of his wife Mrs. Akiko Ando are exhibited and sold.
作品を手に取ってみるだけで、いやこのギャラリーに入って呼吸するだけで、体が浄化されてエネルギーが湧いてきました。I felt as if I got purified and filled with energy touching those items, or maybe it was just being in the gallery and breathing the air.
訪れる価値あり！素晴らしい小旅行でした。！Worth visiting!! It was an excellent day trip.
