手の愉悦展 Contemporary Crafts of Shizuoka Prefecture≫

先週金曜日、静岡文化芸術大学ギャラリーで「〜革新する工芸〜手の愉悦展」が始まりました。Last Friday the 'Contemporary Crafts of Shizuoka: The Value of Handwork' exhibition started at Shizuoka University of Art and Culture.
県文化プログラム2020フェスティバルの一環で、静岡県在住もしくは出身など、静岡県にゆかりのある33人のアーティストによるる作品展です。This is a part of the Shizuoka Prefecture Cultural Programs 2020 Festival and these 33 participating artists are from Shizuoka Prefecture or living in here now.
20代の若手から80代の長老までの、幅広いジャンルの工芸品が一堂に会しました！A variety of crafts made by a wide range of artists from young people in their 20s to elders in their 80s are exhibited together!
陶芸、染色、漆芸、金工、ジュエリー、木工、ガラス、七宝、硯など… Pottery, dyeing, lacquerwork, goldwork, jewelry, woodwork, glasswork, shippo, ink stone, and more are on display.
会場の一番奥右手の花文大壺「梅」は、昨年 日本伝統工芸展 日本工芸会総裁賞を受賞された望月集氏の作品です。The plum flower vase on the inner right hand side of the venue is the work of Mr. Mochizuki Shu who has won the President's Award of the Japan Crafts Association at the Japanese Traditional Crafts Exhibition last year.
和紙の千切り絵の様な風合いの紅梅が目を引きます。I was attracted to the red plum flowers that look like Japanese paper collages.
その隣りの作品が東京芸大名誉教授の作品で、そのまた隣の「染付花器 金魚」は沢山の受賞歴をお持ちの小枝真人氏の作品でした。The next piece was the work of a Professor Emeritus Mr. Makoto Saeda of Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music and his work 'Dyeing Flower Vessel Goldfish' has won many awards.
ホワイト&ブルーの水紋と金魚が印象的でした。The combination of white and blue with the ripples and goldfish were very impressive.
カセットテープと金箔を素材としたネックレスというユニークな作品もありました！There was another unique necklaces piece made of cassette tape and gold leaf!
実際に音楽を録音した、昔懐かしいカセットテープを編み針で編んだということで、タイトル「音の記憶」に納得です。I understood the title 'Memory of Sound' because they were hand-knitted old-style cassette tapes that actually had recorded music long time ago.
みなさんも良くご存じの染色家 芹沢圭介氏のお弟子さんで、今展覧会で最年長者、山内武志氏の「屏風 幾何文様型染和紙貼り交ぜ」もありました。There was also 'Byobu Geometrical Pattern Japanese Paper' by the oldest artist in this exhibition Mr. Takeshi Yamauchi who is a disciple of well known dyer Keisuke Serizawa.
遠州天龍焼きの山口剛氏の、天の河を連想させる花器は和モダンで幻想的でした。The flower vase made by Mr. Go Yamaguchi of Enshu Tenryu-yaki is reminiscent of the Milky Way Galaxy and is modern and fantastic.
この他にも、つい座りたくなるロッキングチェアや、まるでマジックのようなガラス工芸のボトルin ボトル、美しい七宝、漆芸… Other than these works there was a rocking chair that made me feel like sitting down, a musical looking glass craft bottle-in-bottle, a beautiful shippo, and some lacquer artworks ...
見ていて飽きない美しさです！Everything was a feast for the eyes and you'll never tire of looking at these craftworks!
こちらの工芸展、10/25(日)まで10:30〜18:00、無休で開催中です。入場無料です。The craft exhibition is open from 10:30am to 6:00pm until Sunday, October 25th and admission is free.
