1月30日、ザ・ラプソディ・ツアーを観に名古屋ドームに行ってきました！I went to the Nagoya Dome on Januray 30th to see The Queen Rhapsody Tour!
フレディなきクィーン、アダム・ランバートとのプロジェクトって、一体どんなだろう、と思いながら…。I was wondering how Queen and Adam Lambert would work without Freddie ...
しかし、私が想像していた違和感などどこえやら。アダム・ランバートは素晴らしく良かった！Actually Adam Lambert was amazing, beyond anything I could have imagined.
「僕はフレディのファンなんだ。君たちもそうでしょう？だから、僕は君たちと同じ。」“I’m a Freddie fan. You’re a Freddie fan too right? We’re the same. “
フレディをリスペクトし、あくまで自分は一ファンだという姿勢、好感が持てますね。He respects Freddie and says he’s a one of his fans too ... I like his attitude.
フレディの圧倒的なパフォーマンスやカリスマ性は別物と考えて、シンプルにクィーンの名曲に浸ってきました。I consider Freddie’s charisma and flamboyant personality a different thing, so on this day I was simply absorbed in Queen’s music.
ゴージャスな舞台装置と映像、ライティングと共に、次々と懐かしいヒット曲が、なんと30曲も、休憩時間もなく、一気に演奏されました！With a gorgeous stage setting, beautiful video wall footage, and impressive lighting, Queen performed 30 of their greatest songs one after another without break!
ブライアンが真っ暗な空中に浮かんで、周りに惑星が取り巻いたり…感動的な場面がいくつもありました。Brian was floating in space with planets around him... so many impressive scenes.
ブライアンとロジャー、今年72歳と70歳になるはずの彼らのエネルギッシュなパフォーマンスには、驚かされます。I was surprised at their performance energy as this year Brian will be 72 and Roger 70.
彼らの日本びいきはよく知られていますが、このコンサートでもブライアンがソロでアコースティックギターで「Teo Toriatte(手を取り合って)」を奏でると、観客も一緒に日本語歌詞の大合唱になりました。As many of you know, Queen loves Japan. When Brian played acoustic guitar and sang 'Teo Toriatte', the audience sang along in a big Japanese chorus!
そしてその瞬間、フレディがスクリーンに登場！Then Freddie appeared on the screen!
この後のアンコールでも、フレディはホログラムの様に現れて、ライブ・エイドのAy-Oh!が再現されました。For the encore, Freddie appeared as a hologram on stage and did the 'Ay-Oh!' from Live Aid.
1975年のクィーン初来日から45年、ブライアンとロジャーは、当時のファンが今、その家族を連れてコンサート会場に集まった姿を見て感無量だったのでは？
It’s been 45 years since Queen first visited Japan in 1975 so maybe Brian and Roger would have been full of emotion when seeing their old fans gathered with families?
クィーン、日本を愛してくれてありがとう！Thank you for loving Japan Queen!
「感謝」の漢字プリントのTシャツを着たブライアンと、メンバー全員が何度も何度も深くお辞儀をしてステージを去っていきました。Brian wore a T-shirt with 'gratitude' printed in Japanese ... all the members bowed numerous times at the end of the concert then left the stage.
