今年のクリスマスイブには、東京にミュージカル「サタデー・ナイト・フィーバー」を観に行きました。This year, I went to Tokyo on Christmas Eve to see the musical Saturday Night Fever.
かつて70年代にディスコブームを巻き起こした同名映画が、イングランド出身の俳優リチャード・ウインザー主演で舞台化されたのです。This stage play stars English actor Richard Windsor and is based on the movie which created the 70s disco boom.
東京国際フォーラムのCホール、ステージ中央上方には、ビージーズを彷彿とさせる風貌の３人のシンガーがいて、Along the upper stage of Hall C at Tokyo International Forum, there were three singers reminiscent of the Bee Gees...
ステイン・アライブ、恋のナイト・フィーバーなどなど、まさにビージーズの様な歌声で歌っていたんです。... and they sang Stayin Alive, Night Fever, and more in the Bee Gees’ high register voices.
主演のリチャード・ウインザーはじめ、ダンサーたちのダンスは流石！The dancers were amazing, even lead actor Richard Windsor!
光るフロアでユー・シュッド・ビー・ダンシングを踊ると、最高潮の盛り上がりに！When dancing to You Should Be Dancing, the audience excitement peaked!
でもね、リチャード・ウインザーが爽やかなイケメン過ぎて、セクシーイタリア系のジョン・トラボルタファンにとっては、物足りなかったようですけどね、どうかな？But Richard Windsor is such a clean-cut handsome guy and quite different from sexy Italian-American John Travolta .... not sure if Travolta fans would be satisfied with him.
ところで、東京駅周辺、丸の内エリアのイルミネーションが、とっても綺麗だったのですが、By the way, the illumination in Marunouchi around Tokyo Station was very beautiful.
思いがけないことに、スターウォーズの世界観を表現したオブジェがそこかしこにあるではありませんか！Unexpectedly, there were some Star Wars inspired decorationshere and there!
丸の内ブリックスクエア内の雪の結晶には、よく見るとスターウォーズのキャラクターが刻まれていました。Looking closely, we could see Star Wars characters on the crystal snowflake at Marunouchi Brick Square.
翌日は、銀座をブラブラ。The next day we looked around Ginza.
東急プラザビル６階、27m吹き抜けのキリコ・ラウンジ内の数寄屋橋茶房で、銀座の街を見下ろしながらいただくモダン和食の美しくって美味しいこと！
We had modern Japanese cuisine looking down on Ginza from the 6th floor of Tokyu Plaza at Sukiyabashi-sabo's Kiriko Lounge. There's a 27 meter tall atrium ... beautiful view and delicious!
これが私のクリスマス休暇でした。I enjoyed my Christmas holiday like this.
