北欧とサボテン Scandinavia and Cactus≫

浜松駅から北に徒歩3分、築50年のビルが新しくAMSという名前で生まれ変わりました。A 50 year-old newly renovated building has opened with the new name AMS and is located only a 3-minute from Hamamatsu station.
Art, Music, Supportの頭文字を取って付けられた名前とのこと、芸術と音楽で街興しを企画提案する場になるそうです。The name is from the first letters of Art, Music, and Support ... for a place that will show art and music projects.
その中核となる一階の「キュリナリーデコ」で、4/21のグランドオープンを飾っているのが「北欧とサボテン」の展示です。 An exhibition called 'Scandinavia and Cactus' is now on for the grand opening of the main hall CULINARY DECO, from April 21st.
広島の植物屋 叢(くさむら)さんが国内外から集めたサボテンが、浜松のザ・エースショップのオーナー兼アートディレクターの宿里さんの企画で美しく展示されています。Cacti collected by Kusamura, a plant shop in Hiroshima, from in and out of Japan are beautifully displayed by project art director Mr. Yadori, owner of The ACE Shop.
「北欧とサボテンの関係は？」'What’s the connection between Scandinavia and cacti?'
宿里さんが昨年フィンランドで買い付けてきたポットに、サボテンたちが収まっている、というわけです。The cacti are in pots which Mr. Yadori got in Finland last year.
見ればみるほど、いい顔してるサボテンたち。The more I look at the cacti, the better they look.
全身トゲのボディに可憐な花を付けた姿は、神秘的！The ones with thorns and dainty, little flowers look almost mystical!
展示されているサボテンは購入も可能です。These displaced cacti are on sale.
ゆっくり長生きするペットのようなサボテン、飼ってみようかな？ I’m getting one as they're like having a slow motion, long life pet.
浜松の街に新しく風を吹き込みそうなAMSビルの、これからの企画も楽しみです！I’m looking forward to seeing future projects at AMS that will bring a new perspective to downtown Hamamatsu!
