Pollen Minivelo! 花粉症ミニベロ！≫

It's springtime and that means pollen season around here! 今は春。ということは、花粉(症)の季節なのです。
The local Tenryu River Valley cedar and cypress tress are pouring out their yellow clouds of pollen powder. 地元天竜の杉や檜が花粉を黄色い雲のように撒き散らしています。
We decided to do a minivelo cycling trip into the heart of pollen country. そんな中、あえて花粉のど真ん中に向かって、ミニヴェロサイクリングを決行。
After taking the Red Line train to the end station, we rode north up the Tenryu river and immediately met up with some local monkeys. 赤電（遠鉄電車）を終点まで乗り、そこから天竜川を北上して行くと、なんと野生のお猿さん達に遭遇。
The monkeys enjoyed watching the people show as we stopped to take photos. お猿さん達は、写真を撮るのに立ち止まった際の私達人間の姿を楽しんでいるようでした。
After the monkeys, we rode along a beautiful stretch of the river embankment flanked by bamboo forest. お猿さんの後は、竹林に囲まれた美しい堤防沿いを進みました。
Then we went right through the center of a large cedar and cypress forest ... it was pollen paradise! すると、杉と檜の大きな森の中に突入…花粉天国だ！

After a soba lunch at Hanasakinosho restaurant, we rode the bicycle trail down the eastern side of the Tenryu River towards the Route 1 bridge. 花咲の庄にてお蕎麦のランチをした後、天竜川の東側を国道1号線沿いにある自転車道を行きました。
The wind was stronger at this stage and gave us some bonus exercise! この頃には風はますます強くなり、運動量も倍増です。
Total riding distance was just over 38.1kms. 今回のサイクリングで走った距離は、38.1キロ以上となりました。
It was a very fun early spring pollen eating minivelo trip! 花粉を摂取しながらの初春のミニヴェロサイクリングも楽しかったです。
... and we'll be going again soon! …またすぐ行きましょうね！
