先週、額装の店Page-1さんで、パリから一時帰国中だというアーティスト、”モトさん”こと前原本光さんと、偶然お会いしました。Last week by chance I met Mr. Motomitsu Maehara 'Moto-san' who has currently returned to Japan from Paris at Page 1 framers store.
ミュージシャン、DJ、コラージュ作家、絵本作家、詩人、翻訳家… 沢山の肩書きを持った彼は、フレンドリーで飄々とした方でした。He is a musician, a DJ, a collage artist, a picture book writer, a poet, and translator .... with so many hats, he is very friendly with a laidback attitude.
フランスのコロナ状況が厳しい中、現在はご出身地の浜松でイベントの企画や創作活動をされているようです。Due to the severe Covid-19 situation in France, Moto-san is doing creative activities and organizing events in his home town of Hamamatsu City.
その中のひとつ、年明け1月22日(土)には、映画「ひびきあうせかい」上映会を、主演の青柳拓次さんをお招きして木下惠介記念館にて開催するそうです。One of the events is a movie 'Resonance' which is going to be shown with lead actor Takuji Aoyagi on January 23rd next year at the Keisuke Kinoshita Memorial Museum.

旅する音楽家と、人々の声、自然の音、都市のノイズまでもが共鳴する無国籍ハーモニーを描いた、ドキュメンタリー映画なんですって。This is a documentary about a traveling musician who makes borderless harmonies using people’s voices, sounds of nature, and even noises from the city which resonate with each other.
「観る者の五感が開かれていく、新感覚アート映画」のようです、面白そう! 'A novel art movie that opens up the viewer's five senses.' sounds very interesting!
13:30と17:30の二部制で、各20名限定です。There are two shows at 13:30 and 17:30 which are limited to 20 people each.

さて、モトさんの絵本にも興味が湧いた私は、彼の絵本を求めて絵本の店キルヤさんへ。As I became interested in his picture books I went to the bookstore Kirja to get one.
ちょうどクリスマスブックフェアということで、店内には可愛いデコレーションとクリスマスブックが沢山！It's just the time of the Christmas Book Fair so there are many cute decorations and Christmas books inside!
モトさんの「動物」「魚」「鳥」シリーズ、7ヶ国語で生き物の名前が紹介されていて、子供たちへのプレゼントに良いな〜 Moto-san’s series of Animaux, Poissons, and Oiseaux are written in seven languages and introduce names of each creature ... really good gifts for kids!
きっと、コラージュアートの絵本は、アート作品として大人がお気に入りの場所に飾りたいものかもしれないけれど。Actually adults will want to decorate interiors with the books too as they're like collage art.
私はÉcoute la musique (音楽が聞こえる？)という本を自分に選びました。I chose a book called 'Écoute la musique' for myself.
雲、雨、月、秋、雪… 自然の中にある「無音の音楽」という感性…何か大事なものに気づかされた思いです。Clouds, rain, the moon, autumn, snow ... I was impressed by his sense of 'silence music in nature' and felt like I learned something important.
その他、こんな可愛いクリスマスブックも、教室のデコレーションとして買ってきました。I also bought this cute Christmas book as a decoration for my lesson room.
キルヤさんでは、1月7日から2月末まで、モトさんが期間限定のカフェ、Cafe the eelをオープンします。Moto-san will open 'Cafe the eel' for a limited time from January 7th until the end of February at the Kirja bookstore.
そちらも行ってみなくちゃ！I’d like to go there again!
