Today I decided to break my diet in order to visit a new restaurant in Iwata City.今日は、磐田市にオープンした新しいレストランに行くので、僕のダイエットはお休みすることに決めました。
The place is called hygge and its located in the Iwata tea farm plateau area north of Lalaport Iwata. レストランの名前はヒュッゲ、場所はららぽーと磐田の北にある茶農家台地の中です。
It opened just this month in a renovated old farmhouse. 古い農家を改築したこちらのレストラン、今月オープンしたばかりです。
The place looks great inside and the food was very good too. 内装はすばらしく、料理もとっても美味しかったです。
I had a salad appetizer. 前菜にはサラダをいただきました。
A hamburg steak main course but I asked for a only a small portion of rice. ハンバーグがメインのコースでしたが、僕はライスの量を控えめにお願いしました。
And cheesecake for dessert. デザートはチーズケーキ。
It was very delicious but I only ate half ... diet dayo. すごく美味しかったんだけど、半分だけ食べました…ダイエットだよ。
The building has two floors with lots of open space and the outside deck area looks very comfortable too. 二階建ての開放的な建物で、外のデッキ席も居心地良さそうでした。
Actually the word 'hygge' is from the Danish language and in Denmark has a meaning of comfort, coziness, and contentment. 実は「ヒュッゲ」というのはデンマーク語で、心地良さ、和やかさ、幸福感を表します。
Very true of hygge restaurant in Iwata! 磐田にある、まさにヒュッゲなレストラン！
After lunch I rode my bicycle through the green tea fields nearby towards the Tenryu River. 昼食の後は自転車で、近くにある天竜川まで、茶畑を走り抜けました。
Along the Tenryu River bank the Japanese pampas grass was swaying in the wind. 天竜川の岸辺には、ススキが風になびいていました。
A sure sign of autumn. 秋ですなぁ。
In total, I rode just over 71km today and included a little extra distance around Lake Sanaru as a penalty for eating cheesecake on my diet. 今日は合計71キロを自転車で走りました。チーズケーキを食べたペナルティとして、佐鳴湖一周分の距離も足しました。
