It was rainy and miserable today but I went out to Callies Grilled Sandwich cafe for lunch. 今日は丸一日ひどい雨でしたが、キャリーズ グリルサンドイッチというカフェにランチを食べに行ってきました。

The place is located along the Hime Kaido near the Kanjosen oribital road. お店の場所は、環状線近くの姫街道にあります。

Callies opened just last December 10th and I've been looking forward to visiting for a few months now. 昨年の12月10日にオープンしたらしく、以前から気になっていたカフェの一つです。

Inside the cafe feels like a time travel trip back into the 1950s American diner culture. 店の内装は1950年代のアメリカンダイナーを感じさせる雰囲気がありました。

For lunch, I had the 'Callies Sandwich' and a 'Pastrami & Basil' sandwich too ... I was very hungry! 朝から何も食べていなかったため、今日は、お店の定番メニューのキャリーズサンドイッチと、ペストラミ＆バジルサンドイッチの２つを試してみました。

Both sandwiches were excellent and I was very satisfied! グリルサンドイッチの専門店だけあって、両方とも焼き加減がちょうど良く、とても美味しくて大満足でした。

The French Toast for dessert was also very good! Recommended! フレンチトーストもデザートとして食べてみましたが、これもまたとても美味しかったです。

When the weather gets better in the spring, I'm looking forward to cycling up to Callies for lunch on Sundays. 天気が良い日に、次はここまで自転車で来て、またランチが出来たら良いと思います。
