Ume Minivelo 梅ミニベロ

Some PoPBunka! students went for a short minivelo ride yesterday afternoon around Tenryu Ward. 昨日の午後は、天竜区で普段より短めコースのミニヴェロツーリングを楽しみました。

It was pretty windy and after parking our cars we had fun riding directly into a strong headwind along the Tenryu River ... extra exercise! 風が結構強い日で、車を停めてから天竜川沿いを強い向かい風に対抗してのツーリング…かなり良い運動になりました！

Through the winding mountain roads, the wind was less of a challenge. 曲がりくねった山道では、風の抵抗はやや楽に。

We stopped in at one of our favourite soba places for lunch ... beautiful plum blossoms in the garden. お昼は私達のお気に入りのお蕎麦屋さんの一つに立ち寄りました…お庭には美しい梅の花が。

After lunch there was a long uphill section that was as challenging as the windy riverside road. 昼食後は長〜い登り坂。強風と戦った川沿いと同じくらい大変でした。

After uphills there are always downhills. 登り坂の後には必ず下り坂があるのです。

It was super fun racing down the mountain side back toward the Tenryu River. 天竜川に向かって山道を下っていくのは、すっごく楽しかったです。

There were some gorgeous Kawazuzakura along the way down and we stopped to take some photos. 道なり何か所かに、見事な河津桜も見られ、所々ちょっと止まって写真を撮りました。

After riding 29.9km we arrived back at our truck completely exhausted but happy to have seen so many beautiful spring blossoms. 29.9kmを走破してトラックに戻った頃にはもうクタクタ、でも美しい春の花を見られてよかったです。

It was a very fun day and we'll be going out again soon! また楽しい一日になりました。また行きましょう！
