Beautiful weather today so I decided to ride out to a cafe that I had heard about before ... 今日はお天気も良いので、かねてより耳にしておりましたカフェにちょっとバイクでお出かけ。
Stationary Cafe Konohi is in Kakegawa City, very near Ikoinohiroba Station on the Tenhamasen Line. ステーショナリーカフェコノヒは掛川市内、天竜浜名湖線いこいの広場駅すぐ近くにあります。
The cafe is in a renovated country house on a corner lot with plenty of parking. このカフェは古民家をリノベートしたもので、駐車スペースもたっぷり取っています。

It opened about five years ago. 約５年前にオープンしました。
The entranceway reminds me of an old school building ... この玄関、古い学校を想わせます。
... and once inside you are immediately confronted with lots of old style stationary items. All for sale! そして中にお邪魔すると、ドッと懐かしい感じの文具が押し寄せてきます。全て売り物です！
They even have an old Olivetti Valentine typewriter ... a design classic! 古いオリベッティ・バレンタインのタイプライターまでありますよ…クラッシックなデザイン！
Pens and pencils are everywhere, with all kinds of old style stationary on the tables. ペンや鉛筆が至るところにあり、また様々な懐かしい型の文具がテーブルに並べられています。
Why is stationary so interesting to look at anyways? なんで文具ってついつい見てしまうのでしょうね。
My purpose was to have lunch so I took a window seat and ordered some food. 私の目的はランチ。窓際の席に着き、注文をしました。
My appetizer was a delicious vegetable soup, suitable on this mild autumn day. 前菜は、こんなあったかな秋の日にピッタリのお野菜のスープ。
The main course was a simple ham sandwich with melted cheese ... not bad! 主菜はとろけたチーズとハムのシンプルなサンドイッチ…いい感じ！
And for dessert I had an old-style melon soda float ... looked good and tasted good too. デザートは、昔スタイルのクリームソーダ…見た目もお味も結構でございました。
Stationary Cafe Konohi is an interesting little spot out in the countryside of Kakegawa ... a nice place to visit! ステーショナリーカフェコノヒは掛川の片田舎にある小さな楽しい所です…是非お立ち寄りを！
