Horaiji Minivelo Biathlon 鳳来寺・ミニベロ・バイアスロン≫

Yesterday, we made a minivelo cycling trip to the Horaiji area in Aichi Prefecture. 昨日は愛知県鳳来寺方面に、ミニベロサイクリングに行ってきました。
We met up at 9am at PoPBunka! and drove an hour to our parking spot near Hon-Nagashino Station. ポップブンカに、朝9時集合、本長篠駅までは車で1時間でした。
From the parking we rode our bicycles to the Horaiji entrance road. 駐車場からは鳳来寺の入り口までは自転車で移動。
We parked our bicycles and hiked up to the start of the Mount Horaiji climbing route. 自転車を置いて、ここからは鳳来寺山登山ルートスタート地点まで歩きました。
There are 1425 stone steps to climb to get to the top temple area ... about 45 minutes of hard work! 頂上のお寺と神社付近に着くには、1425段の階段を登らなきゃいけないんです… 約45分、キツかった！
After visiting the shrine, it was another 40 minutes to reach the summit of Mount Horai. 神社を訪れた後は、鳳来寺山の頂上まで約40分のハイキング。
It was well worth all the effort. 努力して登ったかいがありました。
The views from the top were amazing! 頂上からの眺めは最高！
We could almost see our bicycles parked down below on the valley floor! 谷底に停めた私たちの自転車が見えそうでした！
After a short rest, we descended down the mountain and stopped in for a coffee break at Cafe Gekko. 少し休憩した後、下山してカフェ月光でコーヒー休憩です。
Cafe Gekko is located in a 200-year-old house along the Horaiji approach road and is owned by PoPBunka! student Mr. Hirasawa. カフェ月光は、鳳来寺の表参道沿いにある築200年の家屋の中にあります。そしてオーナーはポップブンカ生のヒラサワさんです。
The coffee and snacks were perfect and Hirasawa-san extended us his warm hospitality ... thank you sir! コーヒーとおやつは完璧で、ヒラサワさんは私たちを暖かくおもてなししてくださいました…ありがとうございました！
After the coffee break, we raced our bicycles down through a small river valley and made a short stop at Hananoki Park. コーヒー休憩の後は、自転車で小さな川谷を走り抜け、花の木公園にもちょこっと寄りました。
The waterfall here is usually impressive. ここの滝は、いつ来ても素晴らしい。
In total, we rode only about 20km but the mountain climbing and hiking made this trip quite exhausting ... and also very fun! 結局、トータルで20キロしかサイクリングしていないものの、登山とハイキングでヘトヘトになってしまった…でもとっても楽しい旅でした！
I'm sure everyone is looking forward to their next-day aching muscles. みんな翌日の筋肉痛を楽しみにしてるよね、きっと。
