Last Friday I went to an interesting restaurant in Iwata. 先日金曜日に、磐田にある面白いレストランに行ってきました。
I heard about this restaurant a few years ago from a PoPBunka! student and finally decided to visit. ちょっと前に、PoPBunka!の生徒さんからこのレストランのことを聞いていて、やっと行くことにしたのです。
The place is called Yamatetsu and it's near the Iwata West Police Station. 山鉄、というお店で、磐田西警察署の近くにあります。
Yamatetsu is an old Showa Era style place with very cheap, wholesome meals ... lunch was ¥500! 山鉄は、昭和スタイルの食事処で、とっても安く、健康的なお食事を提供されています…ランチはなんと、500円！
The interesting thing at Yamatetsu is that many police officers eat here. 山鉄の面白いところは、たくさんの警察官が食事に来るということ。
Also, this restaurant does a special type of take-out food; for prisoners staying in the Iwata West Police Station. そして、こちらのお店では、特殊な持ち帰りメニューに対応しているのです。磐田西警察署にお泊まりする、逮捕者のためのお持ち帰りメニュー。
You can eat the same meal that they eat! 皆さんも、彼らと同じ物を召し上がることができますよ！
While the classic food is not especially exciting, it does taste good and is fulfilling. 昔ながらのメニューで特に目新しくはありませんでしたが、美味しかったし、お腹いっぱい満足しました。
Yamatetsu is a fun restaurant to visit and the staff are friendly! 山鉄さん、おススメです。店員さん達も、気さくな感じです！
