We bought some award winning coffee from Burundi at Pon Pon coffee roasters today.
今日、コーヒー屋ポンポンさんで、ブルンジ産の受賞コーヒーが入手出来たのです。
This coffee is the 2013 Burundi Cup of Excellence Silver Medalist.
2013年のブルンジ「至極の一杯」コンペで銀賞を受賞したコーヒーです。
These kind of coffees are quite rare, difficult to buy, and expensive.
こうしたコーヒー豆はかなり希少で、入手困難、そして高価です。
But they're worth it if you're into coffee ... a coffee geeks dream actually.
でも、コーヒー好きにとっては、大枚をはたく価値のあるコーヒーなのです…こうしたコーヒーを入手するのは、コーヒーおたくの夢とも言えるのです。
Burundi is a small, mountainous, landlocked country in Central Africa.
ブランジは中央アフリカにある、小さな内陸の、山の多い国です。
It has become famous for producing high-end specialty coffees in recent years.
ブルンジは、近年になって、最高級コーヒー豆の産地として知られるようになりました。
The taste of coffee from Burundi is often referred to as, 'Africa Bourbon'.
ブルンジ産コーヒーの味は、よく、「アフリカのバーボン」とたとえられます。
It's a kind of fruity character, tartly sweet, with a little blackberry flavour, but dryish in mouthfeel.
フルーティで、ピリッと甘く、ちょっとブラックベリーの味がし、でも口当たりはドライ系。
There are often other floral, cocoa, and deeper fruit-like flavours too.
フローラル、ココア、深いフルーツの味も感じます。
Burundis and Rwandan coffees are quite unique.
ブルンジ産やルワンダ産はかなり個性的なコーヒーなのです。
They've been described as having one of the most pleasingly and elegantly complex coffee characters possible.
