Earlier this year, we received our new office dog at PoPBunka!
今年始めに、PoPBunka!に新しい看板犬がやって来ました。
It's an Akita dog, a breed famous for being strong, independent and dominant.
強く、独立心があり、かつ忠実な品種として有名な、秋田犬です。
Ours is also woody.
しかもウチのは木製なのです。
I took our dog for a walk in order to take these pictures but you can see her in PoPBunka! anytime.
写真撮影のためにお散歩に連れて行きましたが、彼女にはPoPBunka!でいつでも会うことができますよ。
The dog consists of 4 easily assembled parts including a nameplate bone necklace.
このワンコは簡単に組み立てられる、骨型の名札ネックレスを含む4つのパーツで出来ています。
It's a unique, eye-catching piece of work ... it looks great!
ユニークで目を引く作品…素晴らしい！
A student at PoPBunka! created this ingenuous design.
こちらのかわいらしいデザインは、PoPBunka!の生徒さんの一人が手がけたものなんです。
It won a design competition in Akita Prefecture and is being used as a mascot around the Akita station area.
この作品は秋田県のデザインコンテストで優受賞し、秋田駅周辺のマスコットとして使われているんです。

Maybe real Akita dogs wouldn't be so magnanimous around each other in this kind of situation.
おそらく、本物の秋田犬はこのような状況下において互いに寛大にはなれないでしょう。
The breed is a little famous for being intolerant towards other dogs of the same gender.
この品種は、同性の他の犬に対して狭量であることでもちょっと知られているのです。
Designer Atusko did an excellent job giving her cedar dogs a more social temperament.
デザイナーのあつこさんは、杉のワンコ達に社会性を与えたのです。
