Two friends and I spent the last few days running around the roof of the Northern Japanese Alps.
友人二人と、ここ何日間、北日本アルプスの尾根辺りを走り回りました。
I thought I would share some of the pictures as the weather was perfect and the views were spectacular.
天気も最高、眺めも素晴らしかったので、皆さんにも何枚か写真をお見せしようと思います。
Specifically, we summited Yakushi-dake and Kurobegoro-dake which are part of the '100 Famous Mountains of Japan'.
具体的に言うと、僕たちは薬師岳と黒部五朗岳というどちらも「日本百名山」に名を連ねる山に登頂しました。
We also traversed the connected ridge lines and descended/ascended the valleys ... tough stuff.
僕たちは山の稜線を歩き、谷の上り下りをしました … 大変だったけれど。
In total, we travelled about 45 kilometres horizontally and did almost 3700 metres of vertical in two and a half days.
二日と半日で、僕たちは合計して、水平方向には約45キロ、垂直方向には3700メートル弱の歩いたことになります。
I definitely realized that I am not as young as I used to be.
もう若くないんだなあ、とはっきり実感しました。
For all my efforts, I brought home two giant blisters on the undersides of my big toes ... ouch ouch.
努力の賜物として、足の親指の下側に大きなマメを作って帰って来ました … あいたたた。
But as you can see from the pictures, it was worth it.
でも写真でもお分かりいただけるように、苦労したかいがありました。
PS> Yes, I was wearing the same shirt for 3 days ... PU!
追伸 はい、僕は三日間同じシャツを着続けました … クサっ！
