While eating lunch today I was reminded of Abstract Expressionism.
今日お昼を食べてる時、ふと抽象表現主義を思い出した。
Abstract Expressionism is a type of non-figurative painting that, simply put, focuses on emotional intensity.
抽象表現主義というのは、非具象的な絵画で、まあ簡単に言うと、激しい感情表現に重点を置いた絵画表現のことなんだ。

The 'action painter' Jackson Pollock was one of the most famous artists working in this movement.

Anyways, I had Indian food for lunch today.
まあさ、今日のお昼はインド料理食べたんだけどさあ。
I was the first person in the restaurant so I was also the first person at the buffet.
お店に入ったのが一番だったから、ビュッフェも一番乗り。
The curry pots on the table were untouched and when I took the lids off ... ta-dah! Abstract Expressionism.
テーブルの上のカレーのポットに触ったのだって、僕が一番。で、ポットの蓋を開けたら…じゃじゃーん…「抽象表現主義」。

Actually, the Pollock below is probably his most famous work, it's entitled 'Autumn Rhythms' No. 30.
実は、下のポロックは彼の作品の中でも一番有名なもの。「秋のリズムNo.30」という題名。
It's the mostly black and white one in the middle below.
下の真ん中の、ほとんど黒と白のやつね。
The green, white, and orange one below is the Indus Restaurant chef's best work.
緑、白、オレンジのものは、インダス・レストランのシェフの最高傑作だよ。
It's a spinach-based curry chicken, entitled 'Hariyali Murgh Masala' in pot No. 2.
ほうれん草ベースのチキンカレー。題名は「お鍋の中野ハリヤリ マーガ マサラ No.2」かな。
The orange one on the bottom was a vegetable curry and was not bad either.
下のオレンジ色のは、野菜カレー。これもなかなかだったよ。
