The other day, I received some Tiger Balm as a souvenir from a student who had travelled overseas.
先日、海外旅行をした生徒さんから「タイガーバーム」のおみやげをもらった。

Everybody knows the heat rub Tiger Balm right?
熱摩擦のタイガーバームってことで知られているよね。

It's the world famous Chinese herbal remedy that is based around the compound camphor.
合成樟脳をベースにした世界的に有名な漢方薬だ。

The menthol smell is also one of it's signature characteristics.
メンソールのにおいがまたその特有のにおいだよね。

Most often people rub it on their skin and enjoy the cool, tingling feeling.
多くの人達が肌にそれを直接塗って、クールなヒリヒリした感覚を楽しんでいる。

In Canada, some hockey players use it on sore muscles after practice and it's not uncommon to smell it in a locker room.
カナダでは、ホッケー選手が練習の後筋肉痛にタイガーバームを使うからロッカールームでそのにおいがすることはよくあるんだ。

I was looking at the label and noticed that it has many uses.
タイガーバームのラベルを見ていたら、たくさんの効能があることに気づいた。

Tiger Baum gives relief for headaches, stuffy nose, insect bites, itchiness, muscular pains, sprains and flatulence.
タイガーバームは頭痛、鼻づまり、虫さされ、筋肉痛、捻挫、おならの緩和に効く。

Wa wa wa whaaaat? Flatulence?

It says, 'flatulence'.
