Last Friday, I was online shopping and decided to order a leather jacket to wear when riding my Vespa.
先週の金曜、Vespaを運転する時用のレザージャケットをネットで購入。
In Japan, it is almost impossible to find clothes in my size.
日本では、ボクサイズの服を見つけるのはほぼ不可能。
I decided to buy a XXL cafe-racer style steerhide leather jacket made by a famous New York City company named Schott.
というワケで、ニューヨークのブランドSchottの牛革カフェレーサージャケット（XXLサイズ）を買うことに。
I like the simple style and the quality is second to none.
このシンプルなスタイルが好きだし、クオリティはどこにも負けないほどの品なんです。
Schott has been making jackets for almost 100 years and their website says that they were the first company to put a zipper on a leather jacket.
Schottは100年以上にわたってジャケットを作っていて、ホームページを見てみると、レザージャケットにジッパーを付けた最初のブランドらしい。
They are most famous for their military pea coats and black leather motorcycle jackets.
特に名を知られているのは軍服用のピーコートとバイク用のブラックレザージャケット。
Many famous celebrities have worn Schott jackets including Bruce Springsteen, the Ramones, and James Dean.
ここのジャケット、ブルース スプリングスティーン、ラモーンズ、ジェームス ディーンなどの有名セレブも御用達なんです。
I ordered my jacket last Friday afternoon and paid by credit card.
ボクがジャケットを注文したのは金曜の午後のこと、支払いはクレジットカードにて。
It arrived this morning (Monday) just before lunch.
そして今日（月曜）のランチ前に到着しました。

I looked at the shipping manifest and the jacket travelled out of New York to Alaska on Saturday.
伝票を見てみると、ニューヨークを出発したジャケットは土曜日にアラスカに到着。
It then went to Osaka on Sunday and cleared customs Sunday afternoon.
それから日曜日に大阪に入り、午後には通関を通過。
Finally, it arrived in Toyokawa and was delivered to me in Hamamatsu by truck this morning (Monday).
そしてついに、今朝（月曜）に豊川を通過しトラックでボクのもとへ。
The shipping cost was about ¥7000 and the jacket price was ... secret.
送料は約7000円で、ジャケットのお値段は... ヒミツ。
It took about three days to order, ship, and deliver my jacket from the other side of the world.
注文から発送、そして地球の裏側まで到着するのにたったの3日しかかからなかったんだよ。

I wish my new car would be delivered this fast ... but that will be another story.
