And now some sad news ... a story about the impending destruction of an important architectural property.

The building is called Nakagin Capsule Tower and it's located just south of Tokyo Ginza, in Shimbashi.
東京の銀座にあるビル、その名も'中銀カプセルタワー'と呼ばれる建物です。
The late world famous architect Kisho Kurokawa designed the building and it was completed in 1972.
世界的な建築家、故黒川紀章がデザインし、1972年に建てられたものです。
Originally, Nakagin Capsule Tower was designed to provide living spaces for single salarymen.
もともと、中銀カプセルタワーは独身のサラリーマン向けに作られた居住スペース。
The apartment capsules were furnished with kitchen appliances, cabinets, a television set, and a music system.

Hopefully, the Nakagin Capsule Tower won't suffer the same fate ... but only time will tell.
