Did anyone notice the solar halo this morning?
今朝、日暈が出てたのを見た？
One of my students pointed it out to me.
生徒さんが外を指さしてボクに教えてくれたんだ。
I saw it at about 10am on my way to work.
それは朝10時頃、仕事へ向かう道すがらのこと。
I snapped this picture but unfortunately my iPhone camera lens has a very narrow range.
写真を撮ったんだけど、iPhoneのカメラじゃ視界が狭すぎてうまく写らなかった。
So I couldn't capture the full diameter of the halo.
だから残念だけど、日暈の全体は撮れなかった〜。
Solar halos are created when light reflects off ice crystals high in the atmosphere.
高度の高い空気中で雲を形成する水晶があって、それを光が通り抜ける時にこの「日暈」が出るんだよ。
Very pretty.
